YouTube has just added new and very cool feature called as Annotation, so now after uploading your videos you can add interactive commentary to different scene of video. You can easily select frame and highlight some portion with spotlight and put comments within video. This way video becomes more interactive.I am sure it will be very helpful in demo and tutorial kind of video to make them more user friendly. I am sure you will find numbers of video with lots of annotation.
What is great?
- Auto save is just great and can avoid data lose when you are in add annotation.
- No need to wait, Just add annotation and publish it.
- Ctrl C, Ctrl V is not working.
- Spelling correction is not there.
- Collaboration is not possible (My friends can not change anything on that).
- As of now, Annotation is not working on embedded videos,. You can notice that, if you play video added in this blog directly, it will not show annotations, but when you play them on YouTube site (by double clicking) it works.
